Salary Range: $33.92-$51.58 per hour
Hours: 9-11 hours per week

Job Summary
Provide support and instruction to parents, guardians, and families with children ages birth to five years of age through the Early Childhood Family Education setting and home visits. Create culturally responsive learning opportunities that strengthen families and support healthy growth and development. Plan and facilitate classes focused on child development and parenting with a balance of education and support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure parent education aligns with the St. Louis Park Public Schools vision, mission, and core values
- Provide parent education that is inclusive and culturally relevant for all families
- Build authentic relationships with families, ensuring a strong connection between home, school, and the community
- Lead and facilitate parent education groups and activities
- Plan and implement family-focused integrated curriculum using the Parent Education Frameworks Early Childhood Indicators of Progress
- Model, provide, and offer resources and support to promote the development of parenting knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with the Early Learning Program team to design creative and supportive learning environments
- Provide outreach and promote ECFE programming to underrepresented families
- Utilize a variety of outreach strategies to build community partnerships and connections
- Promote parenting and family engagement within the community by coordinating home and community setting visits
- Work evening/weekend hours in addition to attending meetings and professional development as require
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies to meet a wide range of learning styles
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with parents, staff, and community members of diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of child development theories and developmental stages
- Knowledge of current trends, theories, and technologies pertaining to learning and instruction
- Physically able to be active with small children (lifting, kneeling, bending, etc.)
Education and/or Experience
- Must hold a valid Minnesota Parent Educator license
- At least one year of related experience preferred
